G'day! I was born and raised on a large farm in West Auckland, New Zealand and moved to the U.S. in 1992.
Growing up in New Zealand where Harcourts & Co originated and was the predominant real estate company, it was a pleasant surprise for me when the company started opening offices in the US and it was an easy and natural decision to become part of this great company.
I currently reside in the quaint and beautiful coastal town of Cardiff By the Sea, California. With 29 years of real estate experience specializing in North County San Diego, I am ready to assist you with all of your real estate needs.

Hola, my name is Paul Stokes and I’m an Encinitas-based real estate agent. More importantly, I’m a believer, husband, father, son, brother, friend, sailor, writer, fisherman, wine and food enthusiast, traveler, digital marketing freak … you get the idea.
But, since you’re here about real estate, you should know I’m a knowledgeable, trustworthy real estate consultant with more than 25 years local experience.
Somehow I’ve managed to fuse my real estate expertise, marketing enthusiasm and lifestyle experiences into a passion for helping others live the good life too.
My story: Born and raised in the Midwest; small town, horses, snow, lakes. Ski bum in Vail, CO for a short span. Graduated from San Diego State University. Married Diana, who I met at SDSU. We have three blessings: Cassidy, Nicholas and Conrad.
I’ve worked many jobs before discovering real estate: retail, graphic designer, newspaper reporter, advertising sales, RV sales, yacht marketing director, digital marketing specialist.
But then I found real estate and I never looked back. What I love about being a real estate agent is that it combines many of the skills I've acquired over the years … keeps it interesting. Add people into the mix and it’s a day of adventure and variety.
Plus, I enjoy architecture, exploring new communities, and helping people figure out whether or not living here is a good fit for them. You can always count on me to be honest, responsive and always looking out for what's best for you!
Lastly, I've lived in Del Cerro, Pacific Beach, San Elijo Hills, Carmel Valley and Del Mar (Olde Del Mar and Beach Colony). Plus I work in Encinitas so I pretty much get around and know NCC like the back of my hand.
